Books that stand the test of time
Yesterday I was having my classes clean the library books to get ready for the end of the year. A fifth grade boy said “OH LOOK! I remember I LOVED those books!!” The other boys came running to see… he was pointing to the Rocket books (Blastoff! Readers). They were all saying how much they loved those books when they were little.
The ride isn't over yet for Zack
Dear Mr. Cruz (author),
Hi this is zack. I love your car books they are so interesting I love your corvette book and your Bentley book, and your dodge viper book and you Lamborghini book to. How do you know that much stuff about cars? I also love the Bugatti Veyron book. guess what a Bugatti has 16 cylinders so it has 16 pistons. But I have never read the McLaren I really want to read that book though because it look really good. What is your favorite car mine is the Chevy Camaro you may not like them but that is my favorite car in the world because my dad has a [Chevy Camaro]. And I read another book about cars and it said that a Bugatti Veyron has 2 superchargers. It gets up to 60 it I think 2.4 seconds. That is fast don’t you think. But it is not the fastest car in the world though. It was the fastest car in the world like 4 years ago.
Kind words from a world traveler
Thank you so very much for the book and information. I just returned from a trip to Europe and browsed it briefly. We are very, very fond of these books and use them quite a bit throughout the year. We integrate these books, as well as the (Bellwether) State series as an significant part of our curriculum during our Literacy Project months. We possess all 50 states and the 2 territories as well as 37 countries. We love each and every unit. Each book is laid out so perfectly for resource and the graphics and images are colorful and bring the information to life. You have a great product in these books and I would truly recommend them to anyone!!
Thank you again for all your help!
Always happy to be of service!
The order was brilliant! I have sent the invoice to our PTA and I am sure they will be sending payment ASAP. I love Brainstorm books.
Thank you again for all your help!
Dear Nick Gordon (author),
I just read your book Army Night Stalkers. My favorite part is learning about the missions that a Night Stalker does. This book made me want to become a helicopter pilot..
I am going to read more of your books because I really like them. I do not like to read long books so this is perfect, because the book is short, interesting, and easy to read. The book that I would like to read next is either Navy Seals or U.S. Army.
When I was in third grade I would always go to the library and pick out your books. I would always stay in the library after school was over and I would read your books. One year I read one of your books and it made me want to be an army man, me and my mom went onto eBay and bought a soldier uniform that was worn in the army, and I wore it for Halloween.
Band of brothers' beloved books
Dear Nick Gordon (author),
I just finished reading Air Force Commandos. I liked how you talk about night vision goggles. I would like a pair of those it would be cool to walk outside at night and Just see what I can see.
I have already read Navy Seals, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy. My brothers and me have a lot of fun reading them and it gives them a chance to learn how to read. And I’m thinking of gettingI have a few questions one of my questions is how and why did you write this book? And I’m going to read more of your books and see how they turned out and I like the way you write.

Nothing warms a librarian's heart like a brawl over books!
I must say that the kids love these books. We started a special little section for several of the ones that fly out the door. I love to see kids get excited about reading, but something about them fighting over nonfiction does my heart good.

You're gonna make us blush!
I just finished checking in the books from my recent order. They're beautiful! The packing slip made it really easy for me to check each one off. And we love the mini iPad too! Thank you so much for all your help and for processing our books too. It has been a wonderful experience and I look forward to making purchases with you again!.
Move over, recess!
Hello Kelly (Brainstorm sales rep),
The books look great — and I just wanted to let you know that my little reluctant reader voluntarily spends every recess and lunch READING YOUR BOOK ORDER with me — we are taking books straight out of the boxes while they wait to be cataloged and we read one every day. What a win! I can't say enough good things about the books that you connected me with.
Thank you — especially for all your help and flexibility!
Howie's back to tackle an age-old mystery
Dear Bellwether Media, Inc. (publisher),
I propose using a combination of drones and satellites to solve the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. What you could do is fly a drone into the Bermuda Triangle and, using a satellite, see what happens to it. Or you could fly a drone into the Bermuda Triangle with cameras on it and watch what happens to it.
Bellwether books promote critical thinking for Howie
My name is Howie. I have a suggestion to search for Atlantis. I propose using robots to search for Atlantis. I believe they could possibly find it.
X-Files agent in training!
Dear Mr. Stone (author),
My name is Miguel and I am a 3rd grader at Piney Branch Elementary School. I like your monster books. When are you going to make more books? I like all your Bigfoot and UFO books. I can't wait to read another book.

Who ya gonna call?!
Dear Adam Stone (author),
I really like your Ghost story because I really like ghosts. They are awesome. Also, I hope you write more cool stories like this. I also like some of your other books too, like UFOs and Sea Monsters. Those are awesome books too. I am so interested in your books because they tell facts. I learned in your ghost stories that ghosts are actually spirits from people who die. Also, I want to ask you what is your favorite book that you wrote? PLEASE WRITE BACK.
Our pleasure, Nicole! Thanks for all YOU do as well!
Thank you for the work you do to help inspire the minds of our young readers! If ever interested in coming to talk to our children, our learning center would love to have that experience!

Grinning and bearing it has never been so much fun!
Dear Lisa Owings (author),
I have recently read your book called The Grizzly Bear. I found your book very interesting. I couldn't stop reading it until I finished because it was so good. I like the part when you told the story about Jenna Otter and her dad. I never knew that a grizzly bear could do so much damage and are strong enough to crush a bowling ball with their jaws! I liked it when you said a male grizzly bear can grow up to ten feet tall and can weigh over one thousand pounds, that's really heavy! Your book was wonderful and I really liked the way you wrote it. Well that's pretty much all I have to say, please write back and thank you for reading.

A jawsome review!
Dear Sara Green (author),
The book I read was Shark Fact Files: The Great White Shark, by you. I liked reading this book because great white sharks interest me and this book told me some stuff I didn't know before reading this book, like the dorsal fin is the fin in the back of the shark and I thought that the dorsal fin is the fin on the top. Hope you liked reading this. If you have time, please write back.

A Spooktacular Series!
Dear Denny Von Finn(author),
I'm a huge fan of all your books. My favorite book is Stanley Hotel. I like how you use expression in your stories. Then I like how you try to make your books scary. I'm so excited for your next book.
The looks on their faces were just "plane" awesome!
Two HUGE boxes arrived last week. Just got to open them and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! You should see how excited the kids are, especially the military vehicles. Today I had a dad helping with a kinder class...and the boys were oogling over the plane books. I casually mentioned, "Y'know guys...this dad flies planes!" He was ex-military and their eyes opened so wide... and it just made my heart burst when I saw the interaction start between these little guys and the dad.......
Thank you so much..... I can't tell you how wonderful these books have been received on their first day out!
Bellwether books fly off the shelves!
I can’t put into words just how much my students LOVE Bellwether books!! I have duplicate copies of many of my students' favorites so they aren’t disappointed when they come to get another book in a series…best nonfiction, hands down!
All of their books are colorful, inviting and include many interesting text features. These features assist in preparing our students for the state standardized tests with interesting subjects. They keep students engaged, enrich their vocabulary and they are made to last. I wish all my library books were as well made as these wonderful titles.
I am fortunate to live in a military community, so I cannot keep the Military Machines or the Armed Forces series on the shelves of our library. We have even found some of our parents in them! However, here is the BEST part…they have sooooo many titles to choose from you won’t be disappointed!.
I have a wish list going all the time…

You can't go wrong with Brainstorm!
Brainstorm, Bellwether, and Jump!
They’ve become my new 'go to' for my library. Their books are beautiful, super engaging, and wear like iron (well, almost). Our students ask for them by name and when we receive a new shipment, they literally line up through the stacks to get first dibs at checkout. How great is that?
The nonfiction selections are always on point for grade-level and Common Core, so the hardest part is deciding which to choose. Fortunately, Brainstorm prices are great, and they even run sales, which tells me Brainstorm really gets how education is still struggling from the recession. Plus, you just can’t beat their customer service. Response is so quick and personable; my rep goes out of her way for me all the time.
